    The Student Society organises both social and career development events throughout the year, such as journal clubs, BBQs, ice skating, trivia nights, movie evenings and the Postgraduate Ball.

    The annual Student Retreat provides further educational and socialising opportunities for students across the St Vincent’s campus.

    Education Seminars

    SVI provides regular skill-building seminars for our students, in areas such as grant-writing, communications and presentation skills.

    SPEAK Your Science

    This fortnightly workshop is targeted directly at SVI’s students and postdocs. Sessions are designed to give young and emerging researchers the skills and practice needed to communicate their science to peers and non-scientists alike.

    SPEAK Your Science provides a mix of skills development, workshop practice and practical advice on writing and presenting your science.
