Top-up Scholarships play a vital role in supporting SVI by relieving financial pressure, enabling students to spend more time developing their research skills and carrying out important experiments instead of taking a second job outside the Institute. The Support Group’s fundraising efforts have supported more than 110 successful scholars over the years to research some of Australia’s most debilitating diseases including multiple myeloma, pulmonary fibrosis and Fanconi anaemia.
None of this would be possible without the unwavering dedication and fierce support of the Support Group’s founding member, Claire O’Callaghan OAM and her dedicated and passionate committee members.
Join us on Thursday, 17 October at the beautiful Kooyong Tennis Club to celebrate our past, present and future students, as well as our generous supporters.
